About / Staff / Ethan Law
Ethan has been a part of the extended QEC family for decades: his father Steve is currently the Executive Superintendent. After earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management at Chico State; Ethan was hired as an Assistant Project Manager and hasn’t looked back since. Before that he even got to spend a summer in our fab shop learning the ins and outs of the field. In his current role as now Lead Estimator / Project Manager he works closely with the team on compiling competitive cost estimates, cost studies on alternative materials/methods of construction, value engineering, developing bid packages, customer service excellence, and bettering the company in general.
Starting his professional career at QEC, Ethan has shown his willingness to go above and beyond the call of duty through really getting involved in anything that requires his attention. He enjoys the process of taking the owner and architect’s vision for a project and turning it into a physical reality. He has been working around metal buildings since he was about 12 years old, so you could say he has it in his blood a bit by now and that he truly enjoys his job.
Outside of his career responsibilities, Ethan is an Eagle Scout and a volunteer with the Golden Gate National Park Conservancy. He is passionate about seeing his peers succeed in life while also fitting in some adrenaline-pumping activities after work, including motocross, cycling and attempting to waterski.
