California College of Arts, Montgomery Building

The main building of the San Francisco Campus of the California College of Arts (formerly the Montgomery campus of the California College of Arts and Crafts) is located in a renovated 1950s San Francisco Greyhound bus maintenance facility.

The building is heated by a solar-powered hydronic system. Significant day lighting was retained from the original building, providing natural light to the open studio spaces. Resource conservation was a main consideration in the design of the facility.
