ACE: Altamont Corridor Express

The new main building houses three overhead cranes, a wheel truing machine, a drop table, stores, employee common areas, and administrative offices. Photovoltaic roof panels provided the added benefit of reduced grid energy consumption to the natural ventilation and lighting provided by the saw tooth roof design.

Auxiliary buildings include a service and inspection canopy, a oil/water separator building, and a trainwash equipment building. STV also provided construction-phase engineering support for the $65 million project, which is intended to be the first of its type in the United States to earn LEED Silver certification.
